Introduction:

Chevening Scholarship is a fully funded UK Government scholarship that allows exceptional emerging leaders from eligible countries, including Pakistan, to pursue a one-year taught master’s degree at a UK university. The program is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and focuses on developing leadership, professional skills and international networks.

Benefits:

Chevening generally covers university tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, return travel to and from the UK, visa application-related support, and other allowances included under the award. The scholarship allows scholars to focus on their one-year master's studies without having to fund the major costs of studying and living in the UK themselves.

Eligibility criteria:

Applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country, hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for a UK master's program, have at least two years of work experience (2,800 hours), and demonstrate leadership and influencing skills. Applicants must apply to three eligible UK master's courses and must obtain an unconditional offer from at least one of them by the required deadline. They must also commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after the scholarship ends.

Documents required:

During the application/interview process, applicants need to provide their undergraduate degree certificate and two reference letters from nominated referees. Applicants also need their passport/identification details and information about their education and work experience. If shortlisted for interview, the required documents must be uploaded through the Chevening application system.
