Each visa type is designed to suit specific travel purposes, whether you're exploring a new country, attending meetings or conferences, visiting relatives, or passing through en route to another destination. Our services include guidance on eligibility, document preparation, application submission, and follow-up support to ensure a smooth and timely visa process.

Eligibility Requirements

Pakistani applicants must show:

  • Your stay in Sweden or the Schengen Area should not exceed 90 days.
  • You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds for the trip and will return to Pakistan after your visit.
  • You should have a genuine purpose for the visit (tourism, family/friends, or business).

Pakistani Applicants

Mandatory Documents

Valid Passport

  • Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure date from Sweden.
  • At least 2 blank pages for visa stamps.
  • Include any previous passports if applicable
  • Visa Application Form

  • Complete the Schengen visa application form available on the VFS Global Sweden Visa Application website.
  • Visa Fee Payment Receipt

  • The standard visa fee is approximately €80 for adults (subject to change).
  • VFS Global Service Fee: Around PKR 2,500 – 3,000.
  • Payments can be made online or in person at the VFS center.
  • Passport-sized Photos

  • 2 recent 35mm x 45mm passport-sized color photos with a white background (Schengen specifications).
  • Proof of Financial Means
    • Bank Statements: The last 3 to 6 months showing sufficient funds.
    • Salary Slips: Last 3 months or proof of income.
    • Tax Returns (optional but helpful if available).
    • Travel Insurance: A policy with coverage of at least €30,000 for medical emergencies, repatriation, and covering all Schengen countries.
    • Hotel Reservations: Proof of accommodation during your stay in Sweden.
    • Return Flight Tickets: Confirmed flight booking with entry and exit from the Schengen Area.
    Travel Itinerary
    • Flight Bookings: Round-trip flight bookings to/from Sweden.
    • Accommodation Details: Hotel reservations, rental agreements, or an invitation letter from a host in Sweden.
    • Detailed Travel Plan: A simple itinerary outlining the places you plan to visit in Sweden.
    If Visiting Family or Friends in Sweden
    • Invitation Letter: A letter from your host in Sweden explaining the purpose and duration of your visit.
    • Host’s Passport or Residence Permit: A copy of your host’s Swedish passport or residence permit.
    • Proof of Relationship: Documents such as a birth certificate, family registration certificate, or other evidence proving your relationship with the host.
    • Host’s Financial Proof: Bank statements or other financial proof that the host can support your stay in Sweden.
    • Host’s Residential Address and Utility Bill: Recent utility bills showing the host’s address.
    Employment or Study Proof
    • Job Letter: A letter from your employer confirming your position, salary, and leave approval.
    • Self-Employment Documents: If self-employed, provide business registration documents, tax returns, and proof of income.
    • Student Status Proof: If you are a student, a letter from your educational institution.
    Proof of Ties to Pakistan
    • Family Registration Certificate (FRC): Issued by NADRA.
    • Marriage Certificate: If applicable.
    • Property Ownership Documents: Documents related to owned or rented property (optional but adds credibility).
    • Any Dependents: Birth certificates or documents proving family ties.
    Additional Supporting Documents
    • Travel History: If applicable, copies of previous visas and entry/exit stamps from other countries.
    • Cover Letter: A letter explaining your purpose of visit, travel details, and how you will finance your trip.
    • Police Clearance Certificate: If required by the Swedish consulate.
    • Visa Refusals: If applicable, disclose any previous visa refusals.
    Visa Fees and Payment
    • Visa Fee: €80 (for adults), €40 (for children aged 6–12), and free for children under 6 years.
    • VFS Service Fee: Approx. PKR 2,500 – 3,000
    • Police Clearance Certificate: If required by the Swedish consulate.
    • Payment: Payments can be made through VFS Global’s online portal or in person at the VFS center at the time of submission.
    Processing Time
    • Processing Time: Typically takes 15–20 working days.
    • It is recommended to apply at least 3–4 weeks before your intended travel date to avoid any delays.
