Eligibility Requirements

Pakistani applicants must show:

  • You must intend to stay in Italy (or the Schengen Area) for 90 days or less.
  • You must show proof of return to Pakistan after your stay.
  • Demonstrate that you have sufficient financial means for the trip.

Mandatory Documents

Original Passport

  • Valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended stay in Italy.
  • Must have at least 2 blank pages for visa stamps.
  • Include previous passports (if applicable).

  • Complete the online Schengen visa form on the BLS website.

    • Visa Fee Payment Receipt

  • Visa fee is approximately €80 for adults (check current fees).
  • BLS Service Fee: Approx. PKR 2,500 – 3,000
  • Payments made at the time of submission.

    • 2 Recent Passport-sized Photos

  • 35mm x 45mm, white background, and in color (as per Schengen visa specifications).
    • Proof of Financial Means
    • Bank Statements: Last 3 to 6 months showing sufficient funds for the trip.
    • Salary Slips: Last 3 months from your employer (if employed).
    • Tax Returns or Income Proof.
    • Travel Insurance: Minimum €30,000 coverage for medical emergencies, covering all Schengen countries.
    • Hotel Reservations: Proof of stay in Italy (e.g., hotel booking, reservation confirmation).
    • Return Flight Tickets: Round-trip tickets showing your entry and exit from the Schengen Area.
    Travel Itinerary
    • Flight Bookings: Show entry and exit from the Schengen Area (flight reservation).
    • Accommodation: Hotel bookings for your stay, or a letter of invitation from family or friends.
    • Detailed Travel Plan: The itinerary of your stay in Italy and the Schengen Area (places you plan to visit and duration of stay).
    If Visiting Family/Friends in Italy
    • Invitation Letter: From your host in Italy, confirming the purpose and duration of your visit.
    • Host’s Passport or Residence Permit Copy: Copy of the host’s Italian passport or residence permit.
    • Proof of Relationship: Documents showing your relationship with the host (e.g., birth certificate, family registration certificate).
    • Host’s Proof of Financial Means: Bank statements or other financial documents proving the host can support your stay.
    • Host’s Residential Address and Utility Bill: If staying with a host, provide a copy of their recent utility bill (e.g., electricity, water).
    Employment or Study Documents
    • Job Letter: From your employer stating your position, salary, and leave approval.
    • Self-Employment Documents: Business registration, tax returns, etc., if you are self-employed.
    • Student Status Proof: If you are a student, a letter from your school or university.

    • Family Registration Certificate (FRC – NADRA)
    • Marriage certificate (if married)
    • Dependent family documents
    • Property ownership or rental agreements

    • BLS Service Fee: Around PKR 2,500 – 3,000.
    • Payment Mode: Payments can be made online via the BLS portal or at the BLS center at the time of submission.
